audioengine AW1 Wireless Adapter

I've watched a number of the episodes of GeekBrief TV where wireless speaker systems were reviewed and basically panned. While this isn't wireless speakers, it is a way to send audio wirelessly.

The folks at audioengine sent me a W1 Wireless Audio Adapter to review. It has a sending unit, a receiver, some audio cables, and a USB-to-AC adapter. No computer is needed for this, but if you do use it with a computer, it's a USB Audio device so you can put audio out to it.

I have to say, overall, it seems to work pretty good. I streamed music from iTunes on my MacBook in my office down to the receiver down in my family room, which then piped that music through the in-house sound system-including the speakers in my office. Seems really silly to send a signal all over creation just to get to the speakers 5 feet away from me, but it does demonstrate how well it works!
