by william on January 31, 2005
David Adams over at OSNews is mapping out his new custom Wired Home. Some of the things he's looking at are:
- Structured wiring (Cat5, RG6, and a patch panel)
- Wired networking (ethernet)
- Wireless networking (802.11g)
- Remote lighting control
- Remote heating and air conditioning control
- Intrusion alarm
- Fire alarm
- Surveillance cameras
- And More............
He's also compiled a nice list of companies he's checked out to help him in his venture. This is a really nice starting point if you're looking a building a custom home. Be sure to read more.
