Choice of Cable Companies for Apartment Dwellers

Apartment dwellers may soon have the capability of choosing your own cable company if the FCC has its way. Often, in many part of the world apartment dwellers must take the cable company with which the apartment block is signed up to take. No longer in the USA may this be legal if the FCC can manage to address the issue.

The FCC in the USA is looking to throw out exclusive cable deals with apartment buildings and make it possible for phone companies to compete for business. Presumably this will lower prices for many people who are subscribed to an apartment block sole operator who can choose any price as each apartment is locked into any deal that the provider so chooses.
