If you haven't heard by now, TiVo now has pop-up ads. According to MercuryNews.com:
TiVo subscribers got a glimpse over the weekend of a new type of advertising to be viewed, ironically, while fast-forwarding past traditional 30-second commercials.
It's called a ``fast-forward tag,'' and it blasts a fleeting ad message across the bottom quarter of the TV screen. A handful of TiVo subscribers, for instance, saw a movie promotion over the weekend for ``The Interpreter, Opening April 22.''
Don't you love when technology gets rid of one nuisance and replaces it with another?
