Foot controlled power strip

This is an interesting take on your traditional power strip. The Eject Powerstrip allows you to use foot pedals to eject plugs of items not currently in use which can bring down the use of vampire power. Sockets that are ejected will also automatically be turned off to keep your children/pets/mother in-law from hurting themselves. The strip was shown off at the Greener Gadgets Design Competition.
