Four Tips for Creating Digital Media for Affiliate Marketing

If you are a beginning entrepreneur, you will want to include digital media in your affiliate marketing efforts. It personalizes the information that you provide to your customers. These four tips will increase the professionalism of your products.
1. Videos. Remember the jerky scenes in the movie The Bourne Supremacy? After the first few seconds, moviegoers got grumpy about all of the blurry motion.
Your customers will not be pleased if your videos are blurry, out of focus, and jerky. If you are just starting out, your built-in camera on your computer will work fine until you can afford a better quality camera. If you are using a hand-held camcorder, make sure that you use a tripod.
2. Sound. When filming video or recording audio for blogs, it is important to pay attention to background ambient sounds. Is there an open window that lets in the sound of dogs barking and car horns blaring? Is there an air conditioner or fan whirring?
One entrepreneur recorded a podcast while driving in his car – with his window rolled down. While the rushing sound of wind was not noticeable to him, his listeners could not hear what he said because the noise of the wind was so loud.
3. Microphones. When recording a podcast, do not use cheap microphones from a local discount store. The quality will be too poor. You can find professional microphones for under $100. Investing in a wind or pop filter is also a good idea because it prevents the extra bursts of air when the speaker uses a word with the letter 'p' in it.
4. Templates. If you create an e-book or a newsletter for your business, you want it to look professional. If you do not have graphic skills, a word processing program usually has professional-looking templates that you could use. Templates can also be found on the web.
