In search of an Internet connection during my last Cancun vacation
Vacations are wonderful. You can relax, collect unforgettable impressions and meet new people. But, as a business man I always need a phone as well as an Internet connection to in touch with my company. Being an entrepreneur is great, but it has certain disadvantages. For instance, I cannot simply disappear for a week to go on vacation but have to be available for my staff to contact me when necessary. That is why I always make certain that my hotel has a wireless Internet connection available to me. But my experience during my last Cancun vacation was a bad one, where the travel catalog promises ended up being untrue. It assured me a wireless Internet connection but all I found was an old Windows 98 computer in the hotel lobby with an incredibly slow Internet connection. The solution during this vacation was the airport of Cancun where travelers can use the Internet for $0.50 per minute.
Since that time I only trust myself and always carry a USB Modem Stick with me. With this little stick I can go online with my laptop while I'm on the move or away from home.
