From USAToday.com:
TiVo is close to an agreement with comcastlinks that would enable the No. 1 cable operator to use TiVo's software and easy-to-use interface to power its digital video recorders (DVRs), according to a person briefed on their negotiations.

What a win for cable subscribers if it happens. Maybe leaving the hardware market and focusing on licensing the software is the direction that will save TiVo. Who knows?
