Apple has announced that it has expanded iTune Plus by over 2 million tracks. That is, 2 million DRM-free tracks.

What is more, the price of each track is now just US$0.99 per track. The music tracks are also high quality 256 kbps AAC encoding for audio quality virtually indistinguishable from the original recordings.

This is now the largest catalog online anywhere in the world. iTunes now has recordings from numerous labels, including really popular tracks from Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Norah Jones, frank sinatra and the solo catalogs of all four Beatles.

iTune is the most popular music sales store beating both Amazon and Target in online sales.
