Apple has just announced the availability of films for British iTunes customers. 700 different films will be available for purchase in the UK at 6.99 for most regular library titles and 10.99 for new releases and 2.49 and 3.49 for rentals. Movies will come from popular studios suck as 20th century Fox, Walt Disney, Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, MGM, Sony, and Lionsgate UK. An apple TV will be required for any HD rentals.

Renting videos through iTunes is a pretty cool concept. I haven't really taken advantage of it here in the US. Any of you UK readers been waiting for this one?
