NewSoft Unveils Presto! WMS
Filed in archive Entertainment by william on March 4, 2005
While there's software that allows you to stream multimedia to other computers, there's very few stand alone streaming systems out there. NewSoft has recently announced the Presto! WMS (Wireless Multimedia System) :
NewSoft, a leading provider of innovative business and consumer software, announced its latest wireless system for enterprise users, Presto! WMS (Wireless Multimedia System) at CeBIT 2005. By adopting Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g technology, Presto! WMS gives users more freedom to broadcast screen-captured images or MPEG 1/2 files from a PC/notebook to many PCs/notebooks or hardware receiver adapters connected to projectors.

Presto! WMS allows presenting content on a screen more than 15 frames per second on average for 11a/g; thanks to NewSoft's high performance algorithm for detecting differential regions of a screen, users can play in real-time PowerPoint files, including animations & video clips. This innovation indicates the high-tech application that allows users to simultaneously broadcast images and video clips, making their presentations more brilliant, and they can still transmit high-quality videos to larger and better screens when using video transmission mode.

We'll keep you posted when images and prices are announced. Read the full Press Release.
