Nintendo: Wii have a problem!
Filed in archive Gaming Systems on December 8, 2006
The new nintendo wii has a BIG problem: the straps might not be built well enough to stay attached to players' wrists. USA Today reported this today, while many blogs reported this problem shortly after the product launched. You can read what the blogosphere is saying about this here.
While Nintendo is selling many more units than Sony is with their PS3, it's hard to tell what might happen to sales now that this has hit the "mainstream press." Probably nothing, if you ask me.

Sony has promised 2 million PS3 machines by the end of the year, while Nintendo is targeting 4 million in global shipments of Wii during the same period. Both Sony and Nintendo are projecting selling 6 million by the end of May. Selling machines in numbers is crucial in the gaming business because hot-selling formats attract software companies to make more games, which in turn boost machine sales.
