Still haven't gotten a Digital Video Recorder (DVR)? Until you use one you just don't know what you're missing. STLToday.com has an article that states:
The DVR revolution, under way since 1999, is finally picking up real steam. At the end of 2004, only 7 million U.S. homes had a DVR; by the end of 2009, the number is expected to rise to nearly 50 million, with much of the growth coming as cable companies such as Charter roll out their own, high-quality DVRs.
Another interesting point in the article is:
CBS conducted its own study of DVR users and found that while they may watch fewer commercials, they actually watch considerably more television - almost twice as much in prime time as non-DVR users. The DVR users are also recording more programs on the broadcast networks than on cable, the CBS study found.
