If you're still using a VCR, you'll want to fire up that old 486/33, connect to Prodigy with your 14.4 modem, and read this article at SFGate that offers replacements for your VCR. The article states:
The VCR is dead at age 30. Unlike vinyl, there's no good reason for a VCR revival. No worries. Whether you want to convert VHS tapes to DVD, burn shows directly to disc or hop on the DVR bandwagon, we suggest upgrading to one of these machines...
Not suprising is that the TiVo Series2 DVR is first on the list.
