On January 16th, Verizon Wireless will launch V CAST Music. Verizon bills it as the world's most comprehensive music service.

Verizon Wireless customers will be able to download music directly to their V CAST enabled phones, as well as to their Windows XP PCs.

Customers will also have the option of downloading songs to their PC and then transferring them to the cell phone - an option which makes more sense given the pricing.

Individual songs downloaded to PC will cost $.99; those downloaded directly to the phone will cost $1.99.

The full press release is available here.
