Welcome to my wired home blog

Hi and Welcome to my new blog. My name is Elwyn Jenkins and I have taken over from the previous blogger.

Because I live in a "Do-It-Yourself" wired home I face all the challenges and rewards that you may be facing if you are also building a wired home. One thing I do notice is that there is always something to do around the wired home . . . like extending the wi-fi network so that it can be used in the attic, or installing a new TV is one of the kids rooms, and many other jobs that we will talk about over time in this blog.

So come with me for the ride. I will be covering every imaginable subject about a wired home. Maybe you want to install a gas fireplace and want to wire it for automated use, or it might be something simpler like the doorbell has stopped working, we will cover that and hundreds more topics.
