Home Networking

Not really a surprise, but wireless networking has finally overtaken ethernet connections in the home. According to Global Digital Living, a recent survey by Parks Associates:
The number of households using Wi-Fi wireless technology for home networking has surpassed the number using Ethernet. This study, which surveyed consumers in Europe and North America on technology adoption and use, found 52% of U.S. households with a home network use Wi-Fi and 50% use Ethernet. By comparison, only 32% of Canadian households with a home network use Wi-Fi, 43% use Ethernet, and 26% were unsure which technology they were using.
Much of the credit is being given to Broadband companies introducing wireless networking to it's customers. I think one of the biggest reasons for the increase though, is that setting up wireless equipment has become so much easier. Many wireless hardware providers have been putting a strong emphasis on better documentation and more user friendly set-up wizards. So have you gone wireless yet? Let us know.
