The other day, we gave some information about what X10 is. Now that you know what X10 is, we bet you're raring to go on your home automation project. The Citizen-Times.com has a review of the X10's Active Home Professional Kit. The setup is a great starter kit that costs $100. The review states:
All of these switches and modules might sound intimidating, but for the most part, the X10 system is fairly simple to set up. Better yet, because the package consists of individual pieces, you don't have to do it all at once.
The kit includes:
Home automation software that helps you set up commands on a Windows computer.
- A lamp module.
- A 3-pin appliance module.
- A stick-on wireless wall switch that controls lights.
- A PalmPad remote control.
- A motion sensor that turns on a designated light or lights when it detects someone approaching.
