Calling All Modders, Hackers, And Media Geeks

Filed in archive Wired Home General by william on January 31, 2005

Have you modded your toaster to speak to you when your toast is done? Have you made a media center out of that old IBM 486/33? Do you have a security system that shoots laser beams at those scumbag burglars? We want your stories, ideas, or dreams when it has to do with high tech homes.

With your permission we might even publish your adventures with full credit to you. Heck, we might even rent the billboardlinks on Times Square and put your name in lights (Okay, I need to check with the boss on that one first). Come on, we really want to hear from you!

Drop us a line

Update: After speaking with the boss, the Times Square billboard is a no go (It appears that Cubs fans have rented the board for the next 12 months to publicly complain about the Sosa trade). The good news is we're hammering out a deal with the Poughkeepsie Journal for a 6 word classified to recognize our contributors. The boss is hopping a plane to Poughkeepsie as we speak to do some tough negotiating. Do we take care of our readers or what?
